He is a master of voice, clear ,precise and he doesn't need the annoying bells, whistle and too loud music sound effects to tell a riveting story. All he needs is his voice.

We have an unlikely team or in this case Punk band members being roped into bed with the a secret government agency to bring down a drug ring. They Gustav(the narco syndicate ring leader) fave group. Rommy a 90 something yr old frail looking lady is the second in charge, but she is one tough Bird. The members of PAP is Flotsam, Britta(his wife),Driver and Patch This long time manager is left out of the loop of what is going on, as far as he knows is that they just disappeared out of the blue. The bands new handler is Zed and Zeds mescal Torgo. Torgo is am man of few words.
They feel there must be a mistake, they have railed against "The man" for most of their lives. They are dammed if they do and dammed if they don't.
This is an entertaining book, by the master himself Jack Wallen. Mr.Wallen is too good at writing about the underworld and the seedy side of the populous. He has the Punk ti a T. The character's are believable and the various exchanges are as well. Just when they think they are in the clear, they will be tested to their breaking point. Pick up your copy today

What a fun book! Any fan of hard rock music and action plots will love this. Using a band as the main characters adds a new dimension to this type of action story. I liked the plot line, but I really loved the musical references quietly embedded in the story. This is my first Jack Wallen book, but it won't be my last.
I can't say enough good things about this book!! A crime book that kicks butt through and through! Rock On!!
Set stage; Aging punk band members just barely getting by, a Drug Lord, and the CIA. Everything you think could happen, does, and then much more. Jack has written an action packed, fun, and crazy story. You do not want to miss this one. Thank you Mr. Wallen.

Punk Ass Punk are a band that are struggling to stay afloat with crippling debts and an audience that doesn't buy merch. There they are offered the deal of century but they have to get in bed with the man.
Can they bring themselves to do it?

This book is just entirely too much fun to read! I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it! I'm not a fan of punk, per se, but I am a fan of characters that are well-written and exhibit growth and realism. These characters are both and more.
The members of Punk Ass Punk, an almost-has-been punk band (naturally) have made a career of damning the man, but everyone has a price. These punks discover what their price is when the NSA needs their help to bring down a drug lord/war lord. Chaos ensues, and it is the best ride!
Two thumbs up, WILL read this novel again!
A bit different from other books of Jack's I have read. no horror or supernatural elements here. More of a thriller bit still with that distinctive Wallen tone and atmosphere. This one was a bit more risque, likely befitting the punk rock vibe. The characters are great with fresh voices. And speaking of voices, if you get the audiobook, Wallen offers up some great narration. Great pacing and action - this was a fun read. And I take meaning in the fact that even though it isn't a musical genre I have pursued much, this book made me want to run out and listen to some Ramones and Dead Kennedys.
